China Lights

A "Journey Around the World" at Cologne Zoo.

64 light ensembles made up of over 1,000 individual figures, more than 4,000 LED lights and over 15,000 metres of LED string lights.

The central highlights and common thread are the architectural classics of every continent. The China Lights creators have added illuminated animal and fantasy figures to match each region, spread throughout the entire zoo. The Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer in Rio, Beijing's temple complexes, the Pyramids of Giza and the Eiffel Tower shine as handcrafted light sculptures. This is the seventh edition of this illuminated spectacle for the whole family.

The tickets are only valid for China Lights on the booked date.

Admission begins at 5:30 pm. Last admission is at 8:30 pm.
Tickets include a VRS travel pass

Tip: The walk takes approx. 2.5 hours. From experience, entry from 6:15 pm is much more relaxed than right at 5:30 pm (this applies especially on weekends and busy days around Christmas).
